The mission of the finance office is to provide our customers with timely, relevant, concise and materially accurate financial information to help decision makers make informed choices for the provision of services and capital assets and to promote participation in the decision process.
The department processes a semi-monthly payroll for employees and payment of vendors, maintains a fixed asset inventory and produces monthly and annual financial statements. An independent auditor audits the annual financial statements to insure the fair presentation of the County's financial position.
Our offices are located on the First Floor of the Courthouse Annex, 136 6th Street, Steamboat Springs. The Courthouse Annex is immediately behind the Courthouse.
